Default RE: two cams or one, whats the difference?

My first question would be WHERE are you going to get this bow? From a local shop, cabela's or over the internet? If it is over the internet I say don't get any of them, go to a local shop and see what they can do for you.

If you live near a cabela's or Bass Pro shop and are thinking of getting one there (these are bows normally offered by companies like this) I would be a bit hesitant. I have seen some pretty scary set ups come from both. I live near a cabela's and relitively close to a Bass Pro. Gander Mountian is about the same. It will really depend on who is helping you. Sometimes it is someone that knows what they are doing, others it's just some kid or guy they stuck back there with little or no training and experience in archery.

Of course I have seen some so called Pro Shops that were the same way.

I looked on cabela's website since they carry both these bows and have a deal with PSE. I personally like the Nova SU better. I will admit when you said Nova I wasn't that impressed. And when you mentioned Fire Flight I was thinking the Firestorm (Which is a pretty decent bow actually). After looking at both I feel the Nova is the better bow. It seems they have come a long way in the past few years. I was thinking really cheap bow with small round wheels and little adjustment.

I would not concern yourself with the cam systems, they all work and can be just as accurate, or inacurate depending on how they are set up and how you shoot them. It used to be dual cams had poor back walls with large valleys and low let offs. Not the case anymore, most have decent walls to draw against with higher let offs if that is what you want.

Not to mention the cams on the Nova look very adjustable for draw length and offer you more leeway on draw weight. And the extra Axle to Axle length would be nice as well.

In my honest opinion I would not get either, if you wanted a base line PSE I would be looking at the Dakota SU instead. The same cam system, but 7 1/2 inches of brace height and 40 inches of ATA with a 302 IBO speed (not that I would beleive that though). This looks like a much better beginner bow to me. Keep in mind I have never handled any of them. If I get to Cabela's anytime soon I may make it a point to check these bows out.

I say shoot all three of them and see which you like the best. I would shoot some other brands as well if you can.
