I just spent 2 hours trying to get my broken wooden ramrod out of my Hawken. It snapped off right at the brass fitting. It must have been bad wood because their was not alot of down pressure. Off to Sportsmans tomorrow to buy a replacement.
I used a wooden ramrod this year with no problem on my TC FL, but after reading this post and issues, I am going to buy an RMCSports Ram rod for $18 and then not have a problem. Thanks Chap Gleason
