I live in Canada, now. I am American, born and raised in Detroit, owned homes in Florida, south Carolina and rented for a short time in Savannah Georgia.
This is what we call a Snow Bird or Damm Yankee (Comes South and then leaves again up North)
Hunting terminology was never part of my vocabulary.

I have never heard theterm "shining" until your post.
Do you know what Mooning means?

There is None in the 50 states!
Not "everyone" down south has heard the term "shining" just those in the hunting circle, or connected to it.
Nope! Everyone one knows what Moon Shining is though!
