I use my Stoeger M2000 for rabbits and squirrels and anything else that walks or flies. The semi auto is great for fast shots and the 12 gauge is more versatile. It's not too heavy either. I use a skeet choke for everything and use almost exclusively number 6 shot. It seems to work on everything.
