RE: question on bow sight length
Having a longer sight plane makes a difference. It's sort of like shooting a pistol vs a rifle, both with iron sights. However, there has to be a practical element thrown in there for hunting. I know of guys who have hunted with long sights, long stabilizer and a 2-finger stan release![:'(]For a tournament that is fine but I wouldn't be caught dead in the woods hunting with a setup like that. I like the manuverability of the shorter setup. Stabilizer 12" or less, sights 3-6" from the riser and a solid hunting release.
