Bore Butter - "the great debate"

I am a BB user it does work for me, its' main purpose is for reducing fouling, both plastic and powder residue.

lemoynehas used the right words to decribe ituse.

I do not use it for a lubricant, I do not lube sabots with it, yet a lot of people do and it works well for them, and I do not use it a bore protector in any gun that I am shooting sub powders in. I use it as a part of my barrel treatment regiment, actually in my ML's and my trap shotguns. For me the key to its use in a sabot shooting barrel is to apply it to a very hot barrel, let it get into the pores, then wipe as much back out as you can with clean patches. Do not let the product build up in your barrel. It is water soluable, clean out the barrel on occasion, by running hot water through and patches. I have never found it necessary to use a bore brush to get it out.

It does work - if you do your part asnd understand the application of the product.

I forgot to add, if you are goingto use to treat the bore, not as a patch or bulletlube, then there really might be a better product on the market for exactly that purpose. I am testing it right now and so far it is working great and one heck of a lot easier to apply....
