ORIGINAL: Jaydog1! The problem here in NY (southerntier) the price per acre is fairly reasonable (around $1k per acre)....the problem we deal with is taxes. Couple things that have helped us out: Forest tax break programs / camp members to pay dues / Logging the property (for both $ and trails). Just a thought if you find more land you are interested in.
