Default RE: acc and a/c arrows

It's like anything when it comes to archery or life in general -if you want the higher end stuff you're gonna pay for it. Do the aluminum/carbon arrows really offer that much of a benefit to justify the cost? For the majority of people, probably not. For those of us who just want to have "the best of everything" and can afford it, then yeah. They're straighter than the majority of carbon arrows and they're more durable that any aluminum I've ever shot, so in that regard they are "better". But then again, people have been killing deer with a stick, string, and wooden arrow for a long time now without worrying about any of this newfangled technology we all like to concern ourselves with.

I shot a/c/c's two years ago and switched to a/c super slims last year. I was and continue to be extremely happy with their performance and durability. My only complaint was that out of about 10 arrows I only had 2-3 that spun well with broadheads after a season of target shooting. Other than that, 4 dead deer and 1 dead coyote kept me a happy consumer this fall and I will be placing my order for more bare shafts in the next few days.
