Most of my stands are made of treated lumber, sealer is put on there. They are bolted to the trees. So bringing in the stands is not an issue. As far as cutting back, man if we don't do it now you can't get in without a bushhog......briarhog...........maybe add some GOATS...[8D]
It gets thick here. Woods here have a over whelming amount of Army briars and such. If we don't cut backand clear out now, while its mostly dead,you don't hunt unless, you stayon the edge ofthe fields.
Another BIG REASON..none of the WASKEETERS are out now. They get really bad here when it gets warmer. I'll post some pics of before and after. I have another 200 acres I got this year to hunt. I'll be putting up a stand or two. Thats a total of about 1000-1500 acres here Ican hunt.
