If your area has many deer then ANY Doe would be a great responsible choice. Also, in many healthy herdseven a Doe fawn will also bred at this point (here in IL they claim 60-70%) so there's a chance they could also be carrying a fetus by now. My best solution is to harvest a mature Doe that has atleast one button buck fawn with her. This will insure that the button buck(s) STAYS on your property and matures. With his mother being killed, she won't be responsible for his dispersment and therefor he stands a very very high percentage chance of living his life within that square mile or two area where he was raised.
