How? all 3 of these cartridges basically offer the same thing, with the 7mm mag and 30-06 offering almost equal ballistics, and the .308 not too far behind.
Do they all not perform?
I was almost certain any ofthem threewould be enough medicine.

Better?
Substitute the 30-06 with the .300 Win Mag, and the 50 BMG, with the .416 Rem Mag, and you'll have a keeper.
Now we can't go exchanging the .30 of 1906.
That would be like asking me to leave my Bowie at home.
I use an '06 and a 7mag backup.
Ithrowed the .308 in there in case one of the shooters wanted a short action.
