This is my first season in a Goliath. I have hunted a Summit Viper and Grand Old Man extensively. I can assure you that as a big guy, you will not be making a mistake with the Goliath. I absolutley love mine. At 6'3'' and 260 puonds, I have plenty of room and feel extremely safe in this stand. It is quiet, stable and roomy enough for me with all my heavy clothes on. The seat is adjustable so that you can lower it for gun hunting making the shooting rail useable. You can also raise the seat so that the rail will be out of the way for bow hunting. My only problem with this stand is that it may be too comfortable. I have never sat as long as what I can in this stand. This may have something to do with the fact that I occasionally doze while in it. I have never slept in a stand before. You will also get Summit's incredible customer service.
