Default RE: Georgia DNR to meet today...

ORIGINAL: CervidSlayer

The Georgia DNR is meeting today in Athens to discuss to possible increase of bag limits and extended hunting season for Whitetail Deer. The whitetail population is apparently not dimenishing at all as of the end of the season, and the pop. is still too high. Approx 30 deer per acre in Georgia. Thats over 1.3 millon deer. Does anybody else from Georgia know about the assembly? I would go if I was'nt working. The hunters are being petitioned and asked to speak on the matters.
The Georgia White Tail deer season should definatly be extended. Its too short anyway.
You may want to recheck your statistics. I doubt that 30 deer per acre is an accurate figure.
