We used 50 gallon plastic trash cans with hole cut in side at bottom. They work good - try to put sheet of plywood underneath to keep corn off ground. We used mostly corn. You can also get 8" to 15" drain pipe, cut hole at side and tie to a tree or pole. try to get ones with plastic cap or something else to cover top. Last club we were in made wood troughs with roofs.
