going bear hunting this weekend and am using my bow instead of rifle.i shoot a 385 gr. gt w/ a nap shockwave @ 275 fps.i'm generating around 65 lbs. ke.is this enough to insure adequete penetration.or should i use a heavier shaft and/or use a nap thunderhead.this will be my first bear hunt so i'm trying to cover all the bases.not allowed to bait in nc so does anyone have any tips for setting your stand to intercept bears within bowrange.
