krisken, take him hunting. If he can hit the kill zone consistently within his comfort zone, why not? I think 40# would do for whitetail. Ohio has a 40# minimum. With the plate in a hog's shoulder, you might be taking chances on a hit too far forward. I'd say a Muzzy or Thunderhead would be a good chioce for broadheads at 75-85 gr.
