That is a shame. I'm glad your brother-in-law got him so he didn't suffer any more. I have heard guys in pro shops saying they will shoot a deer in the head. I used to say something to those guys, but it always turned into an argument with the "head hunter" saying something like "how many horns do you have on your wall." Once a statement like that is made I know I could have a million deer under my belt and wouldn't make a dent in that guy's ego. It's sad, but they're out there.
