Getting back the basics
I was going to give a guy I hunt with some advice, but wanted to run it past you guys before I give some bad advice. You see, I have a theory. What if you had used all of the big buck hunting technique you could think of. What stategy would you use. This guy has hunted one buck all year, but is just chasing him in circles. He will find some good sign, set up on it. The next time he goes, he will see the buck, but it will not be close enough, so he moves to where he saw it the next day. Then he'll move when he sees it again, but he keeps chasing it, and pushing it in circles. I was going to recomend that he "get back to the basics". I can say from personal experiences that I have seen more big bucks while hunting "deer" than I have hunting "the big buck". What do you guys think of just hunting deer, rather than the big buck. I would say that he will have a better chance at the deer by hunting with this strategy, rather than chasing him in circles.
