so you folks would just a soon have a pump than an auto loader? even if they were the same price?
I have both Remington auto loaders and pumpsa 870, 1100, and a 1187. For the money a pump is a better deal. A Remington 1187 will probably cost 3 times more. The pump in my opinion is more reliable in nasty conditions. But don't get me wrong there is nothing the matter with auto loaders. It really boils down to personal preference. Your looking at $250+ for the 870 compared to probably $600+ for the 1187. I think I gave about $570 for my 1187 a few years ago and $230 tax and all for my 870 combo that came with a 28inch barrel with chokes and a smooth bore 21 inch barrel with rife sights about 18 years ago.
