Do any of these conclusions come from your bedding project on the Apex? I'd be interested in seeing a post with pics of how you went about doing that. I know you posted the text, but having never bedded a barrel before, pics would be helpful to me. As you know I've got the Kodiak, which shares a lot of similarity to the Apex. Speaking of which, how is the Kodiak Pro working for you?
Zugunrhe,

I will try to post photos. I will need the assistance of my brother to do that as I have no way to take digital photos right now. So far, nothing is bedded, only reinforced. The reinforcementstep is completed on the apex. I have decided to do a complete bedding of the barrel and lugs. I will first bed the lugs (barrel slightly floated), then the completebarrel. My reason for doing this is that I don't see how one can have a full functioning float while the ramrod is installed. If I choose, I can always float by shimming the lugs equally.

As for the Kodiak Pro, I haven't taken her out for a date at the range yet. Been really wanting to fool around with her but just haven't been able to because of the weather conditions have closed the road to the range. I plan to fully bed the Kodiak Pro also. It will actually be easier to do than the Apex. Functionally they are the same rifle with only minor differences. The Kodiak Pro has williams sights and the trigger is just tougher. I'm not sure what, if anything I will do about it. It works well to wrap the index finger around the trigger to leverage the squeeze. If I don't think its affecting my accuracy, I won't do anything with it. It could be a while before I am able to access the range for testing.
