Default RE: Bolt vs. Break Action

I prefer the Huntsman or Sidekick from NEF/H&R over the CVA just because it is American and backed by an actual manufacturer. CVA is just a marketing firm that does not make anything. They just buy rifles from Spain. The Huntsman or Sidekick has a couple of things I changed. I bought a replacement ramrod from Hubbards to replace the stock rod that has some problems ($35 additional) and I bought the .25ACP conversion breechplug which I prefer over 209 primers. That also fixes the strange removal tool that comes with the stock breechplug. If interested that is almost $60 more for the conversion. So you see there is not a perfect solution to your problem. Personally I like the Huntsman and would do the same thing again but it is not a cheap rifle with the fixes. If you are going to scope the rifle you also need to check out the stock design to be sure it will work with a scope. Mine is set up with a scope and a scope style raised comb stock.
