No, I do not think so - the Optima is like the Encore or Omega - you just load the primer into the breech plug - you might want to get a 209 capper - It makes it a lot easier to load.... than using your stubbly fingers like mine.

At some point down the road you might want to switch breech plugs and get a 25ACP system - really makes loading the primer easier and MUCH cleaner...
