Thanks folks, we have a quite a few eagles up here. On this lakewe have never seen one there and it was a surprize to us as it is a small lake. He came from way up in the air and we lost site of it when it went down in a small cove. The next thing we knew it was about 15 feet of the ice coming out of the cove. It made a be-line for our trout and that was the end of the trout. I was able to try out my new camera so it wasn't a great loss. In the spring we will be back in there trying our luck if the ice conditions do not improve.

CI we only see a few gulls come around and take our bate fish until an eagle or 2 move in and then the gulls and crows vanish rather quickly. But, I will be watching for the gulls using a fishing rod LOL.
