1924 Winchester Model 12
A friend of mine has just given me his 1924 Winchester model 12. I was wondering if anyone knows what this gun is worth? The stock is scratched but the barrel is immaculate. It has a full choke and the barrel is nickel steel.
Someone told me that I needed to use high brass shells with this gun. Is this right?
Is there anything I need to know about these shotguns before I go out shooting? I heard that they do not handle steel shot at all, is this correct?
I'm new to shotgunning and this is my first shotgun. I plan on hunting any game that I possibly can, ethically, with this gun. Is there any restrictions (other than ducks due to only being able to shot lead out of this shotgun).
Any and all information wwould be great.
Thanx for your time.

I'm assuming I can use any 2 3/4" load with this gun, correct?
