There is no need to free float an Encore barrel since the stock is attached to the barrel and does not touch the receiver. The scope attaches to the barrel so in theory should always be zeroed. The chamber is part of the barrel so the rifling is always lined up with the round. The only thing I would be concerned with is if someone was using a military sling to steady the rifle while aiming/shooting. That would induce some torque to it.
