RE: Off Season Books To Read
Well I got "Finding Wounded Deer" by John Trout for Christmas, Based off the recommendations of many on this board.
It's a short read..I guess they all are if the subject is interesting. It was very insightful, I learned alot..such as 90+% of stomach shot deer are recoverable. I learned when to track immediatly and when to wait. The common misconception is to wait after all shots, but that actually hurts the recovery in many many instances.
I know I'd like to write a summary of the book for next years "what to do after the shot" if I can gain some permissions from the writer/publisher.
I'd recommend it to you as others did for me.
