Nobody in MN even looks at our deer when we take the to a registration site! It really makes me mad!

Nobody looks at your deer in Illinois for the past 2 years now. You call in by phone. They ask a few questions like length in centimeters from the tip of the hoof to the dew claw, etc. After you call in they give you a confirmation number for you to write on your leg or antler tag. I guess they do check deer in certain countys for CWD though. Used to drive to a check station where they would
try to age your deer, wrap a check station tag through the leg, ask a few questions if your seen turkeys, coyotes, bobcats, etc. Then give you the harvest pin. Last year they mailed the pin to you. This year you had to find out who has them and go pick them up yourself. I understand even non-hunters were able to get the pins. Kinda takes the fun out collecting them....what a bunch of tight a$$'s
