I would never take this shot intentionally, but thingsDO happen where deer are concerned.
I did hit, and recover a 10pt 3 years ago thatlooked up atme at the same time I released. He tried to lunge away and the arrow hit a litle more forward than this one andatA LITTLE moreangle. I was SICK, I almost threw up. I figured I was in for an all day tracking job i I would recover him at all, but I thought I heard him crash while still in my stand. Long story short , I recovered him 80 yards away down hill. The broadhead took the liver and punctured the diaphram. I'm not sure about a lung.
The sad part is...when I told some of the guys I work with, what happened,MOST of them said it's worth taking a bad shot for a rack. NONE OF THEM BOWHUNT...they are rifle hunters.
