Default RE: What Bow Weight Do You Use?

Hunting Boy, I am also 15, and I have taken deer with draw weighs from 45 to 63. I am not a particularly strong person, so you should be able to atleast shoot 55-60 to start with. Don't overdue it though, cause that weight seems like a lot more when you are on a cold deer stand in late november and bundled up. I'd say go to your local pro shop and see how you can pull back 60, if you are able to pull it back, I would go with a bow adjustable from 60-70. Even if it is a little tough, just put the bow in your room, and everytime you go in your room draw and hold it back a couple of times, you will notice it getting easier every week. If you have trouble get one adjustable from 50-60, even if you are a fairly strong kid, you must use muscles you don't normally use to pull back a bow, so don't worry if you can't pull very much. Just condition your body and shoot what you are comfortable with, if you shoot under 60, I would stay with fixed-blade broadheads...hope this helps.

Shots that are True....Pass right Through!!!
