don't buy the Nikon 440, i am disappointed with mine. don't get me wrong, it is a nice unit but i did not do enough research on it before i bought it. it only measures up to just under 400 yards. i was hoping to get more out of it. i know 99% of my shots are 300 yards or less, but i wanted the ability to range further. other than the limited range, the 440 is a good unit.
I have to disagree. I love the Nikon 440 Pro staff laser range finder quite alot. Price wise, it's just under $200.00 and is waterproof, shockproof, lightweight, and small in size compared to some of the others!!Besides, who REALLY needs to range over 400+ yards anyway, unless your antelope or praire dog hunting. A 200 yard shot is a long way off!!! For deer hunting (bow and gun)and turkey hunting (to get different ranges before the bird comes in), you can't beat it.
