Default Wt. of your deer

I was going through some of my stored info and came across this. If you are trying to figure out what the live, field dress or boneless weight is of your deer.
I am going to use the info I have on my deer this year.

Live wt was unknown
Field Dress = 78 to 79 % of the live wt. I split the difference
Boneless wt = 58% of the Field Dress wt

My butcher called me yesterday and told me that my deer, without the head, legs, and hide = 286 lbs. I est. that the head and antlers weighted around 30lbs, the legs about 10lbs, hide about 25lbs, guts/blood around 50lbs. That gives me a est live wt of 401lbs. (Yes he was a big buck.)
So 401 live wt x .785 = 314.8 lbs field dress wt
Well just thought I would shair this and brag a little bit.
Rick
