You're right, all deer are majestic in their own right.

But in the world of whitetails, I think we all agree there's some that are more special than others. That's what keeps organizations like P&Y and B&C in business, as well as your local taxidermist. It's what sparks the "oohs" and "aaahs" at the big buck shows. It's what sells untold thousands of magazines.

I'm not afraid to say this was just an average deer. But my family and I are grateful for the meat he will provide, as he will ensure we don't run out this coming year -- and the reason he fell to my arrow.
