"Saint" to the helpless.
Who awarded you "Sainthood"? I mean besides yourself. Maybe one of your "helpless" little friends?
Why don't you go help some poor little chickens or Elsey the cows that are bred, born and raised to STRICTLY be SLAUGHTERED. I think I hear them calling your name.........."Sainty.....Sainty.....Come help us.....Come help us.
Get real!
Wild animals...
#1. Are quite far from defenseless. Their aqquired defense systems are far superior to humans.
#2. Due to ever expanding human habitats (I.E. urban sprawl) wild animals are losing more and more of their "traditional" habitat and wind up overpopulating. Thus, "thinning" of herds is necessary to assure overall health and prevent overbrowsing of the native habitats. And you don't want that to happen do you, I mean being the plant lover that you are (Remember these are NATIVE habitats and were here before animals AND humans! Poor little leaf bearing creatures, maybe you can save them too by not eating. i.e., "Saint for the leaved creatures"
#3. Humans have evolved over the years EATING MEAT. That's why our teeth are designed to tear and crush (i.e. incisors and molars).
#4. I also strongly support PETA (people eating tasty animals) and have an open mind. Why don't you come over for dinner sometime and we can discuss this more further. I'll have venison roast and I'll mow the lawn before you get here. You can have some very nutritious grass clippings. Would you like some dandelions with that?
#5. Get real. I "respect" you're opinion but going to a forum like this and trying to "save the animals" isn't going to garnish any real respect here. It's like a smoker showing up at an anti-smoking rally and blowing smoke in the people's faces, doesn't make alot of sense does it (you).
#6. Most wild animals cannot live a long peaceful life, as you are QUITE disillusioned. In nature, most creatures have to SURVIVE by avoiding becoming dinner to all sorts of natural NATURAL predators, sucumbing to NATURAL weather conditions (i.e. winter kill....maybe you can live up to your self-appointed "Sainthood" and pass out blankets and warm tea when the snows get heavy. Tuck the little fawns and does in real nice now.) Deer aren't going to live a long peaceful life when their teeth are starting to rot after just a few years and are usually entirely gone as far as being able to chew once they hit about 8 or 9 years. How peaceful to live the majority of your life with painful and rotten teeth. (Maybe you can pass out some toothbrushes or give them all regular check ups and cleanings, wouldn't that be nice. You see, quite simply, their is no 401K, SEP, Social Security or retirement plan for these animals. They just can't retire to Florida or someother retirement community to bask and reflect over their lifes hard work. They'll either , be harvested by a predator, be harvested by a (oh no!)HUNTER, get hit by a vehicle or maybe your favorite die from disease or starvation. (you don't drive a fossil fuel powered vehicle do you? They're powered by an awful fuel that is derived from....oh no...dead animals that died thousands of years ago. Of corse you don't drive, that would be in violation of your self appointed "Sainthood"

Overpopulation of wild game is the biggest factor in the spread of diseases and starvation.
#7. You are obviously a troublemaker that hides behind a keyboard.
#8. I don't go to veg sites/forums and post pictures of gut piles and illustrations of cavemen eating meat.......
Last thing (QUESTION TO YOU "SAINT"

..........
If we were both in the woods taking in the beauty of our surroundings and the creatures and we came upon a deer, a magnificently racked buck, too weak to walk from starvation (i.e. no teeth left or over browse in the environment) or, suffering from disease. This wonderful animal is obviously in pain.
What would you do? Let his suffering continue? Or humanely & efficiently dispatch this creature?
Now....."Go Get Ya One!"
