6 Days of hunting left, NEED ADVICE QUICK!!!
I am hunting in central Virginia, and have a week of hunting left. I was bowhunting two days ago and midjudged a shot and sent my arrow sailing over a does back, needless to say I was bummed, but still had a great hunt. Later that day I went for a hike around the property and went way up on a ridge, where nobody has really hunted this year. There was a HUGE rub on a tree probably 14 inches in diameter. The temperature has been extemely warm here, and afternoon hunts have been very slow, pretty much only seeing deer in the last 5 minutes. The mornings are a bit more productive. I was curious if I should hike up the ridge early one morning and sit on a stump and just wait something out, or it an afternoon hunt would be better because the deer may start moving up that high a bit earlier?
Let me know what you guys think.
