Default RE: scope covers

s4bill,

I have to agree with Rem.222..........don't like the Weavers none t'all. Either the Butler's or Blizzards are the way to go. The blizzards are practically identical to the Butler's except they don't have the push button release.....you just pull them up by hand via little "ears" on either side of the cover.

The lens should be cleaned gently, just like you would a good camera lens. The Lenspen is good or just get a camera lens cleaning kit which usually (for less than $10) includes a blower-brush to remove light dust, a lens cleaning solution, and lens cleaning tissues. 1st use the blower-brush to lift & blow off loose stuff, then apply 1 or 2 drops of solution to a LOOSELY wadded lens paper tissue and work it gently on the lens in a circular motion. Let that sit a few seconds and then follow up with a dry loosely wadded tissue worked in the same manner. Then blow-brush it one more time to remove any tissue dust and you're good to go. Whatever you do, DO NOT press down on the lens with any pressure..........light & gentle are the key words.

"Every moving thing that liveth, I give unto you as meat" (Gen 9:3)

Trust God..........but keep your powder dry!
