Hey, Ausie, Frank, and others. I did get to look over and draw a Black Ice at Cabelas today. I wish I could shoot one, but it is definitely a very impressive bow. The grip was the nicest grip I've ever seen on a factory stock bow. They had quite a few Bear Truth bows, and all of them were 70#. I normally shoot 60, so I looked for one that was backed off a few turns (looking at the limb pockets). I figured the Truth may have been 65-66#, and it came back pretty easily until the second half of the draw, and I had to work a little to get it to full draw. Not bad, but had to work a bit. The only Black Ice they had was bottomed out and was also a 70/29 (like 90% of the bows there). It came back very smoothly and easily. Nice wall and valley. Great feeling bow, and looks fantastic. They do cost more than most "box store" bows, but it was definitely (IMHO) the class of all the bows they had there. I liked it enough to drag this old thread up again.
