Default RE: Still confused??

GJH,

Good question. I will try to clarify.

You said:

So do we shot 60 arrows? 12 ends 5 arows each??? Or am I misunderstanding the meaning of end?
This is correct. Typically an end is referred to as the 5 arrows you shoot. Each of those 5 is shot at one of the 5 spots on the target. After 12 ends, you will have shot a total of 60 arrows. Hope this helps clarify this for you.

In the NFAA (the organization that developed 5 spot shooting) rules state you can change the target from end to end, however most guys will shoot all 60 arrows at the same target. In the end, each spot will have been shot 12 times. This is what I do and recommend for you.

For something to count as an X, you simply need to hit the inner ring on the white part of the target face that the actual X sits in. Even if you arrow is barely touching that line, it is an X.

Scoring on the 5 spot face looks like this........
