I too was looking for a bow to replace my 5 yr old Golden Eagle. I have been looking @ bows for the past yr. I've shot Ross, Mathews, Jennings, Bear, Bowtech, Diamond, Parker, and a few others.Try them out all out, you might be surprisedhow they handle & feel. Go w/what feels right, not just the name. When you enter the +$600 range, they all shootcomparibly. So tonite, I made my decision. I went w/the Diamond Black Ice.For the $, I could not justify the$150 difference for a few more fps.It is extrememly quiet & fast. No shock. I looked for a short ATA., 31", for hunting out of stand & in a blind.The parallel limbs are also what I was looking for.There are some good posts here, read them for some insight w/the new bows.
