I hunt in VA and when the tailgate drops the bullshi*t stops!! I say RELEASE THE HOUNDS!! My brother and his buddy came home last week for a week of hunting. They are both stationed in Germany and were stateside for a week of intensified combat training before they go to the desert after the new year. After their training they took the week off to hunt as they have not been in a couple of years. They still hunted thewhole week and saw some deer and my brother killed a little buck. The last day they could hunt was last Friday so I took them dog hunting on the Eastern Shore for a change of pace. You might be wandering "Where is he going with this?" so I will tell you. My brothers friend is from Michigan andhas hunted for most of his life . He is used to baiting(supplemental feeding)

hunting on Sunday, the whole nine. Pretty much the opposit of VA laws. He also stated he had never dog hunted and back home people shot dogs that run deer but he was not opposed to going. So we go, the first hunt we jump 4 bucks, and my brothers friend killsone the dogs ran to him. He was so excited and that was the first hunt of the day, later he saw a monster but was too far for a shot.By the end of the day he had a better understanding of dog hunting and really enjoyed himself. Wehad a good group of guys, a safe hunt, the area we huntin we have good relations with the landowners and it was an all around fun, successful hunt. There are bad apples in all forms of hunting but it is just plain ignorant to label a whole group.
