Default RE: New Omega Changes!

Holehopper,
I called TC today and told them I'm a Sales Rep w/ XXX Dist. and we are a Master Dist. of your products and they directed me to repair. Honestly I think I needed to talk w/an engineer as he had no opinion and was not allowed to speak freely which I can understandin todays political enviroment where an employee can't speak his mind or doesn't completely understand the product line from full functionality.
I do plan to write a letter but if it were me I would take that rifle back and try to find a barrel w/o the groove or that drilled hole. The CVA Kodiak shoots just as good and has a great trigger out of the box. Unfornatually it will smoke your scope bottom as the breech block doesn't seal the the barrel UNLIKE the older Omega W/O the new groove @ the back of the barrel and the hole that was drilled behind the plug. Now it is not a sealed breech as advertised. I'm sure there must have been a problem by someone to make this change. It is just oneI will not live w/.
Tomorrow I will trade that barrel even w/ a gunshop I sell to even up. He couldn'tcare less. He had an older fluted welded version that seals perfectly in stock and the bore after cleaning is perfect. It was on a thumbhole stock. It just is a shame the Omega isn't going forward but back.. @ least in this design change.
Her is a pic of old and new.

You read the earlier post about the groove ring and theere is a good pic of it.
Its just a shame after 20 shots I have to trade it...
Let me know what you decide.
