I much prefer the hinged floorplate. Don't have to worry about loosing or forgetting a clip / magazineat home. OAL when reloading is not restricted as with adetachable box mag. Had advantage over a blind mag as you can just open the floor plate to unload instead of cycling each round out one at a time. Of course this is also true for the box mag.

However, overall, I think it justboils down to personal preference.
