RE: I have a confession to make...
Mike,
I can identify with the knee problems and trudging through the WV mountains. The doe my son killed up there went from a field that was near the top of Rich Mountain Fire Trail and dropped down to within a 100 yards of two beaver ponds that were around 600 feet below the field.
I helped him haul it back up to the field. We had a deer cart, which made the job alot easier, but we had to stop every 25-30 yards and catch our breath and rest our legs. He's 25 years younger than me, but unfortunately for him he inherited my bad knees.
Two weeks ago they had a foot of snow up at the camp where we stay. I don't know if they still have any on the ground or not, but that would have made for some interesting hunting for the gun hunters.
How do I get on O.L's list to "test" one of his ACS longbows? <img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>
Take care and have a wonderful Christmas.
Bill
