eddie,sorry to disagree with you but I'm glad the council is doing what it's doing.The game commision needs reined in.The warden in my county fined a 70 year old farmer at a butcher shop the first day,the old guy shot a spike one antler measured 2" the other measured 3-7/16.$500.00 fine for not properly identifying his target,plus another $200.00 fine for improperly tagging an animal he used his doe tag.This is plain BULL SH&T!! Like I said before some hunters ACTUALLY do make honest mistakes.Are you perfect? No one is,granted there are slob hunters out there but I'm sure some were really mistaken kills.If you commit a murder at least you get a trial,with the antler restrictions the warden is judge,jury,7 executioner.For Christ's sake some of these guys are real pricks.Who are they to determine if you made a mistake or did it on purpose?I say do away with the antler restrictions,you want bigger bucks go to slug guns.Next year all the bucks that everybody passed up this year & bragged about feeling good letting them walk,next year they'll probably be sporting a 14" 8 point rack & you know what-BANG!!!DEAD DEER!!! As soon as these bucks get 3 on a side or 4 on a side they're dead! Don't B.S. yourself the average age will probably jump to 2 1/2 or 3 years old & thats it.Just my opinion.
