I prefer the .454 Casull to any other big bore handgun caliber. I have a Freedom Arms chambered in .454, and I would mention that the length of the bullet on a .45 LC is shorter than .454 and, at least a few manufacturers do not recommend shooting 45LC in a .454 gun. Maybe they are just trying to sell me a .45LC cylinder

. I do not find the recoil to be harsh or punishing, and I do not believe you can have too much club with hard cast bullets. My .454 is more accurate than my .44 mag, but that's the gun, not the caliber. If you have shot a lot of guns, you will absolutely love shooting the .454.
