Yes they do bait them but I wouldn't imagine it would be all that easy to capture every single deer.Then again,if every deer is coming in to a small pile or corn,the habitat can't be too great now can it be?Why do you think none of those 50 deer were harvested?If old Sproul is seeing all these guys kill does and fawns,there must be alot more out there because none of them had collars.

Last year 8% of those deer were harvested by hunters.This year none of them were.I never here you complain about the PGC 's bear estimates and that's the way they estimate the bear population.They figure out what percentage of the population is harvested by monitoring how many tagged bears come in to the check stations.If hunters are only killing 8% of the deer in an area one year and none get killed the next year,how can you blame the continual decrease of the herd on an over harvest?Feel free to consult the expert deer manager Slim Jinsky on this one.Surely he'll have the answer.He did afterall,interview the most prominent deer managers in the country.
