GaryDowdy. I somehow missed the part about mechanical broadheads. What do you have against them other than the fact that you are from Georgia, where they happen to make Muzzys. I have used Muzzys in the past and I would still use them if I could get them to fly like my fieldpoints.But I cant.
When I first started bowhunting I was shooting a bow that shot 250fps and getting good groups with fixed blade broadheads was fairly simple. Now that I am shooting over 300fps I cant get the same groups.
If I was knowledgeable enough about tuning bows as some of you are I would still shoot fixed blade broadheads because I think they are more reliable with marginal hits.
But I think mechanicals are more than adequate if you take only high percentage shots and hit what you are shooting at.
Isnt accuracy the most important thing.
