RE: Blackpowder pistols?
Well first off check the laws where you intend tohunt. Then if they are legal the rugar black powder I have taken boar with and the patroit is very good especally in 50 or 54 cal. there are several of the newer break action pistols that are very good looking but I have not used them for hunting. With the slower velocity of a pistol it might be wise to use a 54 cal. single shot unless you have some experiance pistol hunting. Lee
