IMHO, it is a poor shot selection and not that deadly. There is the problem with the little thing called the shoulder.
Whenever I have taken a quartering to shot I normally blow right through the shoulder and it's a very short tracking job....
To each his own I guess.

I personally never take a quartering TO shot! But thats just me!
