Browning
I am looking at replacing my 308 BLR with a Short Track auto. Initially I was going to go with a 308 but have been leaning towards the 300 WSM. I realize its a lot more cartridge but recently bought land in Kansas and there is potential for shots out to 300 yards. Is the Short Track Browning auto significantly less accurate than a bolt? Does the 300 WSM kick significantly in this model rifle? I realize a bolt would kick more. Is the Short Track a reliable auto?
From the little bit of research I have done, the 300 WSM seems to be the most popular of the new WSM cartridges.
Any thoughts on the Stalker version? I am partial to synthetic stocks as I am not buying this gun to look good.
My son is a lefty and I would be ordering a lefty for him as well. Any hope for a synthetic, lefty model?
