Default I FINALLY GOT MY FIRST DEER EVER

Yesterday, I went to my new favorite spot. What a show-this would have been my most exciting hunt ever, even if I hadn't gotten a deer. 4:05-3 does come in across a swampy area 65 yds away. They look around nervously and I see why. The monster 10 pt I've seen a couple of times before follows them in. He proceeds to wear out a few saplings for approximately 20 mins. Then a second large buck comes in, but the first one makes it very clear that he is the dominant buck. The second is I believe an eight point with huge mass. They work their way around to the little open spot I was in, but never come out of the edge of the briars-no shot. If I had been one tree over, I would have been able to get the shot. I didn't care, I was thanking God for giving me the opportunity to watch. They leave the area and a third small 4 or 6 pt comes through on the same path. After all is said and done, a fat doe comes back down the trail. She steps into an opening at 20 yds and I release. It doesn't seem to bother her and she only runs 10-15 yds. She circles back towards me and I figure, hey, if she's going to offer another shot, I'll finish her off. At 25 yds I shoot her again and she runs 10 yards and is done. God sure provided the second shot, because when I found the first arrow it was fatty without much blood. I looked back at my tree and wondered how I had gotten an arrow thru there at all, though it sure looked clear from the tree. Apparently, after examining the wound, the arrow had deflected off a twig and went thru the gut and hip. I went to the second arrow and that was how it was supposed to look-blood everywhere spraying out both sides-perfect double lung. I'm so excited. Sorry this is so long, but that's what a first deer ever will do for you. I'm going back for big boy next.

The most important bloodtrail leads right to the foot of the cross
